Job Summary

Sunset Senior Living in Quincy, IL is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Program Manager to oversee the nursing services at our community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing all nursing programs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and leading our team of nursing professionals to deliver exceptional resident care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, manage, and evaluate nursing programs to ensure quality care and program effectiveness.
  • Supervise nursing staff, providing leadership, support, and guidance to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and program outcomes.
  • Conduct training, workshops, and performance evaluations for nursing staff.
  • Ensure the timely resolution of staff and patient concerns or issues.
  • Monitor the health and safety of residents and ensure proper medical records are kept up to date.
  • Maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to foster a supportive community.
  • Continually evaluate and recommend procedural changes to maximize efficiency and operation of the nursing units.
  • Perform administrative duties such as documenting and auditing medical forms, reports, evaluations, charting, etc., as necessary.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an active license in Illinois.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or program management role, ideally in senior care or long-term care settings.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare laws and senior care regulations.
  • Genuine passion for working with senior populations and improving their quality of life.
  • Leadership and team-building skills with experience managing a diverse nursing team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in healthcare software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Problem-solving ability to manage challenges in resident care and staff issues.
