School Age Group Leader

At South Shore Stars, we are committed to providing high-quality early education and youth development programs for the communities south of Boston. Our mission is to enhance the optimal growth of children from economically and culturally diverse families, using a family support approach in collaboration with schools and other service providers.

As a School Age Group Leader, you will play a vital role in helping us achieve our mission. You will work with the Center Director to develop and implement program goals and objectives, and develop strong, positive relationships with each child. You will also work with the Center Director to develop age-appropriate activities and implement both individual and group activities, special projects and field trips.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Center Director to develop and implement program goals and objectives
  • Developing strong, positive relationships with each child
  • Assisting in keeping the center clean and organized
  • Assisting in day-to-day transportation needs of the program as needed
  • Assisting in menu planning and food preparation and purchase
  • Assisting in record keeping
  • Attending and participating in staff and team meetings and appropriate trainings
  • Developing/following through with annual evaluation goals and training plan
