Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Specialist 2 to join our team at the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS). As a key member of our Office of Facilities Management, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment.

About the Role:

  • Responsibilities will include receiving and processing requests for supplies and equipment, acquiring and storing a wide range of items, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • You will also be responsible for delivering items to various locations, disposing of obsolete and excess items, and performing cycle counts and physical inventory as assigned.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, as you will interact with various stakeholders, including vendors and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Three years of experience in stocking, storeroom, or warehouse operations, including purchasing, inventory management, and shipping and receiving.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer software skills and ability to learn new systems and processes.

Working Conditions:

  • This role requires 20% travel to Portland and must be able to commute.
  • The position requires readiness for emergency situations on short notice.
