Supply Chain Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Specialist 2 to join our team at the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS). As a key member of our Office of Facilities Management, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, security, shipment, inventory, and recordkeeping of a wide variety of property, equipment, food, forms, and supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process requests for supplies and equipment, ensuring completeness and authority verification.
- Acquire a range of supplies, food, forms, materials, and equipment within pre-set financial limits or authorized purchasing power.
- Store items such as office supplies, forms, food, excess/surplus property, equipment, and janitorial supplies, maintaining a clean and orderly storeroom.
- Deliver items and fill orders, package and deliver or ship supplies to various locations.
- Maintain inventory and perform cycle counts and/or periodic physical inventory as assigned.
- Dispose of obsolete and excess items, inspect property for use, transfer, or sale, and reach out to relevant authorities for disposition.
Working Conditions:
- This role is subject to standard warehouse operating conditions, which may involve loud noises, varying temperatures, exposure to the outdoors, and challenging weather conditions during emergency responses.
- This position requires 20% travel to Portland and must be able to commute.
- The position requires readiness for emergency situations on short notice.
- Current driver's license and acceptable driving record, or ability to arrange alternate transportation.
Requirements:
- Three years of stocking, storeroom or warehouse experience, including purchasing supplies, maintaining inventory records, and shipping and receiving materials and equipment.
- Experience providing customer service, flexibility and adaptability, and knowledge and experience with basic computer software skills.
