We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Specialist 2 to join our team at the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS). As a key member of our Office of Facilities Management, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, security, shipment, inventory, and recordkeeping of a wide variety of property, equipment, food, forms, and supplies.
About the Role:
- Responsibilities will include receiving and processing requests for supplies and equipment, acquiring and storing items, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- You will also be responsible for delivering items, filling orders, and disposing of obsolete and excess items.
- Additionally, you will maintain a clean and organized storeroom, and perform cycle counts and/or periodic physical inventory as assigned.
Requirements:
- Three years of experience in stocking, storeroom, or warehouse operations, including purchasing supplies, maintaining inventory records, and shipping and receiving materials.
- Excellent customer service skills, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer software skills and ability to learn new systems.
Working Conditions:
- This role requires working in a standard warehouse environment, which may involve loud noises, varying temperatures, and exposure to the outdoors.
- Travel to Portland is required, and a current driver's license and acceptable driving record are necessary.
