Key Responsibilities- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that our community adheres to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to clinical care.
- Quality Improvement: Collect, analyze, and report occurrence trends, and develop/implement improvement plans as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication: Partner with our Administrator and other team members to maintain resident and team member health and safety.
- Pharmaceutical Services: Work with our pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to our residents.
- Clinical Expertise: Provide clinical expertise and guidance to our licensed nurses.
- Resident Assessment: Identify ongoing needs and services of residents through the assessment/service plan process, including documentation for residents with a change in health care status.
- Service Plan Updates: Ensure that resident service plans are updated as required by state regulations.
- Communication with Families: Maintain open communication with resident families and/or responsible parties regarding changes in care or health concerns.
- Staff Scheduling: Schedule clinical staff on a monthly basis.
- Supply Management: Ensure that adequate clinical supplies are available.
- On-Call Schedule: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
- Licensure: Maintain current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse, in good standing.
- Experience: Minimum 1-year supervisory experience and 2 years of geriatric experience.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrate competence in assessment skills, injections/medication administration, follow-up, and triage.
- Leadership Qualities: Provide leadership by exhibiting confidence in self and others, inspiring and motivating others to perform well.
