Development Officer

The Arc Central Chesapeake Region is seeking a highly skilled Development Officer to join our team. As a key member of our philanthropic growth team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Expanding What's Possible, The Campaign for The Arc Central Chesapeake on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of development experience and be able to demonstrate their ability to seek out and create meaningful connections with potential donors. They will possess a high degree of organization, strategic thinking, and resourcefulness.
As the Development Officer, you will partner with the Director of Development to create strategies and implement activities to identify, cultivate, and solicit gifts from existing and potential donors through annual gifts, significant gifts, and planned gifts. They will maintain a portfolio of donors and provide a custom cultivation strategy for each donor.
The successful candidate will have a high school diploma though a Bachelor's degree is preferred, and CFRE certification is a plus. They will be confident in engaging a person from introduction to gift, and in articulating why The Arc is an important part of our current health services landscape.
