The LiRo Group is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join our legal team. This position will report directly to the Associate Vice President & Deputy General Counsel. The successful candidate will engage with various levels of the organization to provide comprehensive legal guidance, both independently and in collaboration with other legal professionals and external counsel. This role is designed for a dynamic individual who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group, has streamlined a portion of its highly skilled workforce in the Northeast to create a more robust and efficient team to better serve our clients. Hill-LiRo is a firm of 1100 professionals with multiple offices across the region.



Responsibilities
  • Draft, negotiate, and review contracts across various business functions, including construction agreements, professional services contracts, supplier agreements, design contracts, joint ventures, NDAs, and other commercial agreements.
  • Analyze Requests for Proposals and Requests for Qualifications for unfavorable terms.
  • Provide guidance on corporate compliance, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess legal risks associated with design and construction projects.
  • Represent the company during relevant hearings.
  • Conduct legal analysis of applicable laws and regulations affecting the company.
  • Deliver effective legal support to the company's business units as required.
  • Offer additional in-house legal services pertinent to the construction and design sectors.


Qualifications
  • 3-7 years of legal experience with a focus on commercial transactions, risk management, and compliance, preferably within the construction or design sectors.
  • Proficient in drafting and reviewing contracts, conducting transactional due diligence, and ensuring compliance with MBE/WBE requirements.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent research, interpretation, and analytical abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
  • Broad experience across a variety of legal issues.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

- Compensation: Min: $120,000 - Max: $140,000. The range provided reflects the salary that the firm believes is appropriate for this position. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications.
