Job Title: Collections Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team at Addison Group. As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for contacting clients to collect outstanding payments, monitoring accounts, and investigating historical data to identify debts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and investigate historical data to determine the cause of the debt
  • Contact clients to discuss payment arrangements and negotiate settlements
  • Process payments and refunds, and update account status records
  • Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status
  • Work independently to resolve billing and customer credit issues

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Collections Specialist or similar role
  • Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques, including skip tracing
  • Familiarity with laws related to debt collection, such as the FDCPA
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Associate's/Bachelor's degree is a plus
