Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to serve as our Swim Team Coordinator. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team and contribute to the success of our swim team program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the selection, training, and supervision of swim team coaches and aides.
  • Communicate effectively with parents through regular meetings and newsletters.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to parent concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate swim team practice schedules and supervise practice sessions.
  • Process participant registration and team entry forms, as well as assist with league fees and insurance documents.
  • Coordinate team photos, uniforms, and awards.
  • Organize team gatherings and end-of-season award banquets/parties.
  • Represent the Town of Castle Rock at league meetings.
  • Perform emergency first aid and life-saving techniques as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of swim team experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • American Red Cross certifications in Water Safety Instructor (WSI), First Aid, CPR/Professional Rescuer, AED, and Administering Emergency Oxygen.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Mountain High Swim League rules and regulations.
  • Experience with Swim Team and Swim Meet manager software.
  • Ability to utilize advisory data and information, such as Town and Parks and Recreation policy and procedural policies.
  • Ability to apply principles of influence systems, such as motivation, incentive, and leadership.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to apply facts and principles for developing approaches and techniques to problem resolution.
  • Ability to operate Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to physically perform various rescue techniques and life-saving procedures.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to changing circumstances. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and to communicate effectively with parents, coaches, and other stakeholders.
