Job Title: Transportation Operations Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at Healthcare Linen Services Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Transportation Manager in managing routes and route drivers, promoting teamwork among individuals under their supervision, and maintaining a professional appearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Transportation Manager in activities relating to distribution.
- Promote teamwork among individuals under their supervision.
- Maintain a professional appearance and have the ability to communicate with employees and customers.
- Assist in overseeing maintenance of delivery vehicles.
- Assist in managing delivery schedule.
- Learn all aspects of an assigned route.
- DOT Compliance/FMCSA.
- Random drug screen checks.
Requirements:
- Class A CDL or require one within 6 months.
- Have six months to one year of supervisory experience.
- Be available to drive nights and weekends (relief driving) any shift if needed.
- Ability to speak and read the English language.
- Have good communication skills.
- Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 700 lbs.
- Meet all DOT and Company requirements (i.e. Drug Screen, Medical Certification, Physical Abilities Exam, etc).
- Ability to lift 45 pounds overhead.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend and climb stairs up to 10-12 hours per day.
- Clean Driving Record.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of basic computer software (i.e. Microsoft excel, word, etc).
