Job Summary

The Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Food Service II to join our team. As a key member of our dining service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving food items, and maintaining a safe and sanitary food service environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Train Student Employees: Supervise and train student employees assigned to the area, ensuring they are knowledgeable about portioning, customer service, and food safety procedures.
  • Food Storage and Preparation: Follow procedures for the proper storage of leftover food and potentially hazardous food items, and prepare and pre-portion all food products designated for cooking in accordance with food safety specifications and company recipes.
  • Line Area Setup and Supply Management: Set up line areas and collect necessary supplies to prepare menu for service, and receive and store food requisitions and supplies.
  • Cash Handling and Customer Service: Process phone orders, assist customers, and operate cash register and cash-ups.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean food preparation and production areas as assigned, and maintain the operation and cleanliness of the Unit and equipment.
  • Special Events and Catering: Assist in catering and special functions, and prepare catering or special event food items as necessary.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school graduate or equivalent, with experience in short order cooking, food service equipment, food handling procedures, and cash handling procedures.
  • Physical Demands: Moderate to heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs., constant standing, bending, and walking, exposure to temperature extremes, slippery surfaces, congested work areas, and potentially dangerous equipment, tools, and machinery.
