Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Worker to join our team at Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our food service facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stock and maintain server areas, including napkins, utensils, trays, plates, and beverages
  • Assist with food preparation, cooking, and serving as needed
  • Ensure food items are served at proper temperatures and maintain a clean and safe food service environment
  • Anticipate customer needs and communicate effectively with service supervisors
  • Receive, sort, and wash soiled service ware, and load and unload dish machines
  • Resupply serving lines with clean service ware as needed and maintain storage carts and racks
  • Perform thorough cleaning of work areas and assist with special function setups and catering events
  • Equip and maintain beverage areas and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in college or equivalent experience
  • Ability to read and write and possess basic math skills
  • Food service experience is a plus, but not required
  • Must be responsible, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions:

Frequent contact with co-workers, customers, college faculty, and staff. Prolonged standing, bending, and walking. Exposure to slippery surfaces, hot surfaces and materials, temperature extremes, sharp tools, broken china, spilled liquids, etc.
