Job Overview

As an Embedded Software Program Lead, you will leverage your technical acumen to comprehensively navigate intricate challenges to successful resolution. We are in search of a seasoned Embedded Software Program Lead for our Embedded Controls division, tasked with advancing our next-generation ECU controls and software solutions. This role entails steering the team to fulfill their commitments while engaging with engineers, technical leads, and management across the organization to evaluate risks, convey status updates, and resolve critical issues. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical foundation, exceptional project management capabilities, and experience in cross-functional team environments. Key Responsibilities

Your Contributions Will Include:
  • Overseeing and coordinating multiple ECU software program initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with project timelines.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive program schedules, plans, and budgets.
  • Aligning testing efforts with project timelines, milestones, and resource distribution.
  • Managing engineering team dependencies, including the acquisition of testing platforms and equipment necessary for test execution.
  • Providing leadership to the Embedded Controls team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous enhancement.
  • Facilitating internal bug triage sessions to identify and assign next steps for all outstanding issues.
  • Collaborating with various teams, including hardware, systems, platform software, testing, product management, and operations, to synchronize Embedded Controls activities with overarching project objectives.
  • Reporting program status, progress, and challenges to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Conducting go/no-go meetings to evaluate the technical merits of all unresolved issues for release decisions.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze testing requirements.
  • Driving resolution of key issues by partnering with development teams and fellow program managers.
  • Examining defect trends and patterns to suggest process enhancements.
  • Promoting ongoing improvement of Embedded Controls processes and methodologies, utilizing industry best practices and innovative technologies to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, specifically in embedded software development.
  • A proven history of successfully managing intricate projects in a fast-paced setting.
  • A solid understanding of embedded software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Outstanding project management skills, including the capability to develop and oversee detailed project plans.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Confluence, JIRA).
