Executive Chef

A skilled Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food, as well as setting up necessary supplies. They ensure a smooth operation by properly setting up the station before starting work. Utilizing specialized kitchen tools, they prepare essential ingredients and create a finished product for Waterfront Grill. Our commitment to excellence drives us to deliver exceptional quality to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
- Cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
- Follow all safety and health regulations.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
- Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chefs' instructions.
- Clean up the station and take care of leftover food.
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of or ability to learn sanitation and regulations for workplace safety.
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to maintain personal cleanliness.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Hold a Food Handler's Card, or the ability to obtain one.
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Cooking: 2 years (Preferred)
- Restaurant Experience: 2 years (Preferred)
