Prince Telecom is seeking a highly skilled Fiber Installation Technician to join our team in Pocatello, ID. As a Fiber Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optic internet and telephone services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet and telephone services.
  • Set up and configure residential networking equipment such as ONT's, routers, and switches.
  • Perform testing on company-issued devices and customer devices.
  • Interface with customers to identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and report/record work order status updates.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting and interacting with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Educate customers regarding product and service usage.
Requirements
  • Minimum 18 years old.
  • Valid standard driver's license required.
  • Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comfortable working in tight spaces (crawl spaces, house attics, etc.).
  • Comfortable working through inclement weather.
  • Comfortable using small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to lift, climb, and carry ladders weighing up to 80lbs.
