Electrical Systems Specialist

At Rain for Rent, we're looking for an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, installing, and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. You will also support our Operations Manager by performing new installations, servicing, and repairing equipment, as well as transporting items that require movement to meet company needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.

• Prepare sketches showing the location of wiring and equipment, or follow diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future structures.

• Test amps, volts, and continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments such as ohmmeter, battery, and buzzer, and oscilloscope.

• Maintain a basic stock of electrical supplies and components to minimize repeat trips to and from job sites.

• Observe the functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.

• Repair faulty equipment or systems.

• Prepare or assist in preparation of materials and labor takeoffs for bids.

• Interact with customers, salespeople, and management on the status of customer projects.
