The Heavy Equipment Transport Specialist plays a crucial role in our operations, responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of construction machinery and equipment. This position involves operating various types of heavy machinery, including but not limited to dump trucks, semi-trucks with lowboy trailers, and other power construction equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy machinery to support project requirements.
- Transport construction equipment to multiple job sites in compliance with transportation regulations.
- Assist with physical labor tasks such as site clean-up, material handling, and demolition as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues effectively.
- Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of all equipment.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Document daily activities and project conditions accurately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a Class B CDL or higher preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
- Proficient in basic mathematical calculations.
- Strong communication skills for reporting and documentation.
Work Environment:
