Geriatric Care Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care, primarily for a geriatric population. The ideal candidate will deliver comprehensive care through the full nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
You will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of professional nursing by guiding and supporting patient education, overseeing the activities of ancillary staff, and collaborating with the healthcare team to promote optimal patient outcomes and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive patient care to a primarily geriatric population, utilizing the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Guide and support patient education, helping patients and families understand treatment plans, procedures, and care expectations.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of ancillary personnel to ensure quality care and compliance with professional nursing standards.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote optimal patient outcomes and well-being.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse. Experience in the Emergency Department is preferred.
- A background in critical care is also preferred.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications are required.
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification is preferred.
