Position Title: BI Quality Control Engineer

Location: Louisville, KY

Work Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday to Friday

Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000

An organization is seeking a BI Quality Control Engineer to enhance their operations in Louisville, KY. This role involves collaborating with a dedicated agile team of BI Engineers to support various corporate functions and designated subsidiaries. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Director and work closely with the Team Lead.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and planning deployments in collaboration with developers and stakeholders.
  • Administering product deployments and ensuring the functionality of production systems post-release.
  • Monitoring and managing testing environments.
  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies that align with team objectives.

This position is characterized by a focus on technical tasks (approximately 75%) and client/business interactions (approximately 25%), which may involve creating reports for key stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Windows SQL Developer or SQL Analyst.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for data management.
  • Ability to write object-oriented scripts for testing and data comparison.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Snowflake/Star architecture.
  • Experience leading high-level meetings with business executives.
  • Prior involvement in the design and architecture of Windows SQL Databases/Servers.
  • Certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer are advantageous.
