The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Intensive Case Management Caseworker to join our team. As a key member of our refugee support services, you will play a critical role in addressing the complex needs of vulnerable populations.

Job Summary:

The Intensive Case Management Caseworker will provide comprehensive case management services to refugees, asylees, and other ORR-eligible populations. This includes conducting intake assessments, developing individualized service plans, and coordinating with external agencies to ensure clients receive necessary support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine client eligibility for ICM programming and conduct intake assessments.
  • Develop individualized, SMART Self-sufficiency plans for each client enrolled in the ICM program.
  • Evaluate client progress every six months during active program enrollment.
  • Assist clients in navigating healthcare and social service systems.
  • Conduct community outreach and maintain a strong network of service providers.
  • Provide extended orientation on various topics, including women's health and navigating physical healthcare systems.
  • Respond to client crises, with guidance from supervisor as needed.
  • Assist clients with requesting financial assistance and track received financial assistance within case files.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation in client's case file and document all services provided in IRC's database, Efforts to Outcomes (ETO).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, or related field of study.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of case management experience with similar populations and/or client needs.
  • Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking skills.
  • Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in language(s) spoken by client group preferred, including Dari/Pashto.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a personal, insured vehicle.
Working Environment:

A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and 'field' time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities. May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

Compensation:

The IRC offers a comprehensive and highly competitive set of benefits, including sick time, a 403b retirement savings plan, and an Employee Assistance Program.
