Key Responsibilities- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Account Reconciliation: Ensure the integrity of financial information by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate reports and financial statements, and support month-end and year-end close.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budget preparation in collaboration with the Finance Director.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Review and recommend changes to the accounting system and procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP principles.
- Training and Development: Provide knowledge and training to the different accounting teams, as needed.
- Customer Support: Perform assigned work for our customer ministries (e.g. reports, bookkeeping, completing specific project work, etc.).
- Special Projects: Contribute to special projects as assigned.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a senior accountant, with a deep understanding of GAAP principles.
- Technical Skills: QuickBooks online experience preferred, as well as experience working in a variety of industries, including church, non-profit, and marketplace.
- Soft Skills: Prioritizes communication, loves working on a team, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced and growing environment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Competitive Compensation: $30-$35/hour.
