Job Summary

Kingdom One is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity and accuracy of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Account Reconciliation: Ensure the integrity of financial information by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate reports and financial statements, and support month-end and year-end close.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budget preparation in collaboration with the Finance Director.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Review and recommend changes to the accounting system and procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP principles.
  • Training and Development: Provide knowledge and training to the different accounting teams, as needed.
  • Customer Support: Perform assigned work for our customer ministries (e.g. reports, bookkeeping, completing specific project work, etc.).
  • Special Projects: Contribute to special projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a senior accountant, with a deep understanding of GAAP principles.
  • Technical Skills: QuickBooks online experience preferred, as well as experience working in a variety of industries, including church, non-profit, and marketplace.
  • Soft Skills: Prioritizes communication, loves working on a team, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced and growing environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
