Job Summary:

We are looking for a Business Analyst with a strong background in business analysis principles, methodologies, and best practices. The ideal candidate will have experience working on medium to large projects, with a proven track record of delivering results on time and on budget.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead business analysis efforts on projects related to the state project management office's support of Transportation IT projects.
  • Serve as a Business Analyst and business process lead for one or more Department of Transportation projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs, conduct stakeholder analysis, and develop business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain functional requirements, use cases, test plans, and implementation plans.
  • Provide estimates and quotes, with appropriate documentation and explanation.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of IT systems based on approved designs.
  • Participate in testing activities, ensuring the delivered solution meets specific requirements.
  • Assist in managing the change processes associated with IT system implementations.
  • Develop and deliver training materials to help users adapt to new systems and processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst on medium to large projects.
  • Prior experience in State or Federal government, with a preference for Department of Transportation.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience testing and mapping various business processes.
  • Experience with both Agile and Waterfall Methodologies.
