Human Resources Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Human Resources Technician to join our team at the Panama-Buena Vista Union School District. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing technical and advanced clerical support in various human resources areas, including benefits, recruitment, and personnel file management.
Key Responsibilities- Provide information on recruitment processes, personnel policies, and benefits to staff and management.
- Process new employee documentation, verify eligibility for benefits, and create personnel files.
- Prepare and distribute offer and acceptance agreements, and maintain accurate records.
- Update and maintain personnel files, ensuring compliance with record retention requirements.
- Compile reports for external agencies, calculate employee costs, and enter data into HRIS systems.
- Verify payroll timesheets, audit for correctness, and forward to payroll for processing.
- Compute and verify salary adjustments, and refer date and salary information to payroll.
- Notify management of performance evaluation due dates, monitor receipt, and follow up on late evaluations.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion when dealing with employee information.
- Provide procedural instructions on recruitment and selection procedures, and assist with preparing and distributing position vacancy announcements.
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of post-secondary curriculum in a business course of study or related field, and three years of experience in a human resources or employment office.
- Valid driver's license, satisfactory score on the District's clerical screening examination, and typing speed of not less than 40 words per minute.
The Panama-Buena Vista Union School District offers a competitive salary range of $34.58 per hour, nine steps, eight hours per day, and five days per week, with holidays, sick leave, and vacation benefits, prepaid family dental, medical, and vision insurance, and prepaid life insurance plan for employee only.
