Position Summary:

The Coordinator of Student Engagement Programs will be responsible for fostering connections among current students and recent graduates. This role will emphasize engagement throughout the student experience and facilitate a seamless transition into alumni status. Key responsibilities include managing the Class Ring Program, collaborating with Student Affairs, and developing various engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement programs aimed at enhancing student traditions and connections, such as MavMentor, Commencement activities, and Homecoming.
  • Develop strategic engagement opportunities for recent alumni and collaborate on communication strategies to transition students into alumni.
  • Oversee the Class Ring Program, including visibility and sales strategies, and organize annual Ring Ceremonies.
  • Establish a Student Alumni Board to promote engagement between students and the Office of Development and Alumni Relations.
  • Collaborate with Annual Giving to encourage first-time donations from students and recent graduates.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with at least one year of experience in Development, Alumni Relations, or a related field, or five years of a combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree with three or more years of experience in alumni relations or over nine years of equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of best practices in student and young alumni engagement.
  • Experience in a higher education environment.
  • Familiarity with Raiser's Edge or similar CRM systems.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to engage with a diverse student body and stakeholders.
  • Strong professionalism and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on follow-through.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and fundraising databases.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
