About the Role

The Senior Director of Development will lead the Regional development team and its strategy for renewable energy projects, from initial feasibility assessments through to project execution and commercial operation. This role will oversee everything, including a team of 5 Developers, and will be responsible for driving the Regional development team and its strategy for renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of renewable energy developers (5 people), providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure team growth and project success.
Drive the Regional development team and its strategy for renewable energy projects, from initial feasibility assessments through to project execution and commercial operation.
Collaborate closely with engineering, construction, finance, legal and other teams to streamline project development processes and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Identify and evaluate new opportunities for renewable energy projects, conducting market research, feasibility studies, and financial analyses.
Manage relationships with key project stakeholders including landowners, government agencies, local communities, etc.
Monitor project performance metrics and financial targets, implementing strategies to optimize project outcomes and mitigate risks.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
Proven experience (10+ years) in renewable energy project development, with a focus on solar, wind or BESS.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing and motivating teams.
Expertise in project evaluation and financial analysis.
Experience managing partnerships and negotiating contracts.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

$230,000 - $260,000 base salary
Annual bonus (25%)
