Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Host/Hostess to join our team at Peak, a premium restaurant located on the 101st floor of 30 Hudson Yards. As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests, and working collaboratively with our restaurant staff.
Key Responsibilities- Greet guests as they enter, provide menus, and answer initial questions.
- Seat guests at tables or in waiting areas, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment.
- Assign guests to tables, taking into account table rotation and server workload.
- Engage with guests to ensure they are satisfied with their food and service.
- Respond to complaints and help resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answer phone calls, take reservations, and provide information to guests.
- Have a thorough knowledge of the menu and be able to make recommendations.
- Assist other restaurant staff as needed, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all guests.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Able to work in a busy restaurant environment.
- Restaurant experience a plus.
- Weekend availability is a must.
