Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team at Methodist Hospitals. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that patient demographic and financial information is accurately entered into our system, and that all necessary documents are obtained and processed in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurate Data Entry: Enter patient demographic and financial information into our system with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Document Management: Obtain and process all necessary documents related to patient identification and insurance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all regulatory documents are issued and processed in accordance with federal and state laws.
  • Charge Reconciliation: Reconcile patient charges with services provided in the clinic.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify insurance eligibility for all patients and obtain necessary pre-certifications and/or prior authorizations.
  • Financial Assistance: Assist patients in arranging financial assistance prior to appointment.
  • Co-pay Collection: Collect and process co-pays as necessary.
  • Department Statistics: Maintain department statistics and reports.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting required.
  • Skills: Proficient in medical terminology, ICD-9 and CPT coding, and Epic proficiency.
