We are looking for a seasoned UI Front End Architect with expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices for a long-term engagement aimed at modernizing and maintaining the information systems of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
This role involves crafting and executing JEE software applications utilizing contemporary software engineering tools and methodologies, including Eclipse and Atlassian Products.
Collaboration with users in an Agile development framework is essential to gather requirements, solicit feedback, and enhance solutions through presentations and demonstrations during both formal and informal design reviews.
Documentation of design processes will adhere to the Government's system lifecycle methodology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced Angular development (v10+)
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS3 (flexbox, flexgrid), SASS, and theme development
- State management using NgRx
- Unit testing and Microservices architecture
- Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3), jQuery, React, JEE Web Tier Technologies (JSP, Servlets, MVC Frameworks), SQL, XML, Unix/Linux, and Database Connectivity (JDBC, JPA, Hibernate)
- Development of Single Page Applications using JavaScript frameworks (Angular 8 or ReactJS 5)
- Java/JEE expertise
- Experience with JEE Servers (Spring Boot, Tomcat, WebSphere)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant UI development experience.
- Eligibility for a CBP public trust is required.
