Job Title: Senior Chemical Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join our dynamic team in the field of advanced industrial, semiconductor, biotech, healthcare, and pharmaceutical facilities. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and produce technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models that meet our specifications and client needs.
  • Create, influence, and finalize designs involving high purity gas and liquid delivery systems, sanitary and hygienic piping and equipment, HVAC, purified water and steam systems, scrubber systems, and possibly other process chemical systems.
  • Develop detailed engineering designs, specifications, and drawings using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, P&IDs, and pipe-FLO.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Engineers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders on specific assigned objectives, complex features, and aid in deriving possible solutions to unusual problems.
  • Apply standard design techniques and procedures and exercise judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications to design concepts. Ensure quality control by complying with company and team design and CAD standards.
  • Coordinate needs, designs, and develop an understanding with other design disciplines (Electrical, Structural, Mechanical, Architectural, etc.) for design package needs.
  • Effectively lead, direct, and mentor associate engineers and designers, with an emphasis on employee growth, project success, and overall performance.
  • Perform field verifications / site walks to identify, verify, resolve, and incorporate solutions into design packages. May troubleshoot design problems in the field during construction.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, which qualifies for licensure in the state of practice, is required.
  • An active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of practice or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months of employment is required.
  • Experience working with AutoCAD and Revit is required. Experience with Navisworks, PIPE-FLO or similar hydraulic modeling software is a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience with designs containing process and mechanical systems such as high purity gas and liquid delivery systems, sanitary and hygienic piping and equipment, HVAC, purified water and steam systems, scrubber systems, and/or other technically similar systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with applicable codes and regulations set by bodies such as the International Codes Council (IBC, IPC, IMC, IFC, etc.), as well as knowledge of state and local codes.
  • Experience performing field verifications and site walks to identify, verify, resolve, and incorporate solutions into design packages (if necessary). Ability to troubleshoot design problems in the field.
  • The ability to interface with customers to define scope of work and basis of design.
  • Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
