About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Santa Clara, CA area. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and shaping the future of advanced industrial, semiconductor, biotech, healthcare, and pharmaceutical facilities for leading high-tech companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and produce technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models that meet our specifications and client needs.
  • Design and develop mechanical systems, including plumbing, HVAC, and process piping systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Engineers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives and resolve complex problems.
  • Apply standard design techniques and procedures, exercising judgment to adapt and modify design concepts as needed.
  • Ensure quality control by adhering to company and team design and CAD standards.
  • Lead, direct, and mentor associate engineers and designers, focusing on employee growth, project success, and overall performance.
  • Perform field verifications and site walks to identify, verify, resolve, and incorporate solutions into design packages.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, qualifying for licensure in the state of practice, is required.
  • An active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of practice or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months of employment is required.
  • Experience working with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, PIPE-FLO, or similar hydraulic modeling software is a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience with designs containing HVAC, chillers, boilers, pump hydraulics, exhaust, process chemicals, wastewater discharge, or other similar mechanical building systems.
  • Experience in chemical distribution systems is a plus.
  • Ability to interface with customers to define scope of work and basis of design.
