About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Santa Clara, CA area. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and shaping the future of advanced industrial, semiconductor, biotech, healthcare, and pharmaceutical facilities for leading high-tech companies.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and produce technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models that meet our specifications and client needs.
  • Create, influence, and finalize designs involving plumbing, HVAC systems, industrial ventilation, process piping systems, and industrial soft water.
  • Work with senior engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders on specific objectives, complex features, and aid in deriving solutions to unusual problems.
  • Apply standard design techniques and procedures, exercising judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications to design concepts.
  • Ensure quality control by complying with company and team design and CAD standards.
  • Coordinate needs, designs, and develop an understanding with other design disciplines for design package needs.
  • Effectively lead, direct, and mentor associate engineers and designers, with an emphasis on employee growth, project success, and overall performance.
  • Perform field verifications/site walks to identify, verify, resolve, and incorporate solutions into design packages.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, qualifying for licensure in the state of practice.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of practice or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months of employment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, PIPE-FLO, or similar hydraulic modeling software.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience with designs containing HVAC, chillers, boilers, pump hydraulics, exhaust, process chemicals, wastewater discharge, or other similar mechanical building systems.
  • Experience in chemical distribution systems is a plus.
  • Ability to interface with customers to define scope of work and basis of design.
