We are looking for an experienced Lead Chemical Engineering Specialist to become a vital member of our innovative team at SSOE Group. Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Leading the development of technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models tailored to meet client requirements.
  • Designing and finalizing systems for high purity gas and liquid delivery, sanitary piping, HVAC, and other chemical processes.
  • Utilizing software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, P&IDs, and pipe-FLO to create comprehensive engineering designs.
  • Collaborating with senior engineers and project managers to address complex challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Applying standard design methodologies while ensuring adherence to quality control measures and CAD standards.
  • Coordinating with various design disciplines to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and designers, focusing on their professional growth and project success.
  • Conducting site visits to verify and resolve design issues during construction phases.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering is mandatory, qualifying for licensure in the relevant state.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain reciprocity within a specified timeframe is required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential; familiarity with Navisworks and PIPE-FLO is advantageous.
  • Experience with designs involving process and mechanical systems such as gas and liquid delivery systems, sanitary piping, HVAC, and more.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and regulations from recognized bodies, including local and state codes.
  • Experience in conducting field verifications and troubleshooting design issues on-site.
  • Strong communication skills to interface effectively with clients regarding project scope and design basis.
