Position Overview

TRC is currently seeking motivated individuals for the role of Construction Specialist Intern as part of our SkillBridge program. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in construction management and project oversight, with a potential pathway to a full-time position upon successful completion. Interns will collaborate closely with seasoned professionals in the field, gaining valuable insights and practical skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate construction staking, surveys, and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and records for all project activities.
  • Assist in updating as-built drawings and ensure accuracy in project documentation.
  • Support project leads in preparing final closeout documents and resolving any potential claims.
  • Familiarize yourself with construction management protocols and methodologies.
  • Interpret engineering drawings to verify design intent and execution.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum of 180 days of active duty service.
  • Within 12 months of military separation or retirement.
  • Honorable discharge status.
  • Completion of TAPS/TGPS program.
  • Participation in an ethics briefing within the last year.
  • Written authorization from Unit Commander to engage in the SkillBridge Program.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits.
  • Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.

Compensation

The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, interns may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program based on performance metrics.
