Role Overview

We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Construction Project Interns to join our DoD SkillBridge program. This temporary position is designed to provide valuable experience in the field, with the potential for transition into a full-time role upon successful completion of the program. Interns will work closely with seasoned professionals in the field, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of construction management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate construction staking, surveys, field inspections, and material testing as required throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and documentation for all project activities.
  • Assist in updating as-built drawings and ensure that field staff accurately reflect changes.
  • Support project leads in preparing final closeout documents and addressing any potential claims.
  • Familiarize yourself with construction management protocols and procedures.
  • Interpret design drawings to confirm engineering intent and specifications.
Strong understanding of natural gas fundamentals is essential for this role.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:
  • Must have completed a minimum of 180 days of active duty service.
  • Must be within 12 months of separation or retirement.
  • Must receive an honorable discharge.
  • Participation in service TAPS/TGPS is required.
  • Must have attended an ethics briefing within the last year.
  • Written authorization from the Unit Commander is required prior to starting the internship.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented individuals are preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits are mandatory.
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed is required.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
