Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Support: Provide teaching and support in daily living and social skills to individuals living in the SAIL Program, including meal planning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
  • Personal Hygiene and Grooming: Teach and model personal hygiene and grooming skills, such as showering, shaving, and teeth brushing.
  • Laundry Skills: Teach and provide assistance with laundry skills, including laundry preparation, detergent use, and washer/dryer operation.
  • Social Relationships: Teach and model social relationships skills, such as problem-solving, peer counseling, and appropriate social skills.
  • Progress Notes and Medication Oversight: Complete daily progress notes for individuals based on their individual goals and objectives, and provide medication oversight and assist individuals with medication administration as outlined.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field, or 4+ years of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Experience: Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or developmental disabilities, and knowledge of DDS and/or CARF.
  • Skills and Abilities: Effective judgment, decision-making, and communication skills, computer literacy, and ability to work independently and as a team member.
