Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Mold Build Oversight: Ensure that mold builds are completed on time and within budget.
  • Mold Design Approval: Review and approve mold designs to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Mold Trial Attendance: Attend mold trials to identify and resolve any issues.
  • Production Support: Work with manufacturing to get new molds into production.
  • Mold Repair Management: Manage mold repair technicians by scheduling and prioritizing mold repairs and version changes.
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate mold repairs with outside vendors.
  • Maintenance Program Development: Develop and maintain a mold-preventative maintenance program.
  • Spare Parts Coordination: Communicate spare parts needs to the parts ordering person.
  • Quality Issue Resolution: Work closely with production, quality control, and customers to correct quality issues.
  • Mold Problem Solving: Assist process technicians to solve mold problems.
  • Safety Management: Maintain a safe work environment and ensure that mold technicians follow safety rules.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise three mold technicians.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Specification Development: Aid in the creation of specifications for projects.
  • R&D Support: Support and be a team member for R&D regarding product design innovation for competitive gains in the marketplace.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assist with continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and 3D drawings.
  • Tooling development experience.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
