Position Summary:
The Senior Electrical Engineering Manager will play a crucial role in achieving N3B's objectives while ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently. This position requires a commitment to maintaining safety, security, and regulatory compliance across all engineering activities. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, aligning team efforts with organizational goals to ensure effective project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee electrical safety and inspection programs, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Manage the engineering team, providing direction and support to electrical engineering and design personnel.
- Direct engineering projects within a nuclear facility, focusing on safety compliance and risk management.
- Enhance organizational culture by promoting thorough planning and hazard analysis for all work activities.
- Ensure accountability among engineers for consistent application of requirements and project coordination.
- Utilize expertise in engineering principles to guide project development and execution.
- Conduct performance evaluations to identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for engineering-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in high-pressure environments.
- Proficient in DOE and industry codes and standards.
- Experience in nuclear regulatory environments is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge in engineering principles and practices.
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage large-scale projects effectively.
- Commitment to team development and mentoring.
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required, along with substantial experience in electrical engineering roles, including supervisory responsibilities.
