Overview

The Logistics Coordinator will collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to ensure the efficient flow and dispatch of outgoing materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle shipping requests and ensure timely processing.
  • Prepare picking slips for packing jobs and manage stock requisitions.
  • Oversee order actions and monitor warehouse email communications.
  • Ensure effective shipment management for timely deliveries.
  • Administer the Proof of Delivery (POD) application.
  • Initiate shipments within the application.
  • Assist in managing the Cook & Boardman fleet.
  • Generate barcodes for quality assurance purposes.
  • Verify signatures and make necessary corrections.
  • Act as a liaison between sales and warehouse shipping requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to assess and implement processes and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
  • Carry out other relevant tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid US driver's license preferred.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with architectural door materials and hardware.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills and proper use of company-issued devices.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic, read orders, write instructions, and complete forms.
  • Capacity to work closely and effectively with other staff members.

Physical Requirements

The employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and see. Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands are necessary. Lifting of items weighing between 5-25 pounds is common, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Work Environment

This position operates in both an office and warehouse setting. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers will be used. The role may involve driving to various project sites and requires proximity to forklifts and heavy machinery. Frequent heavy lifting is expected, and exposure to varying weather conditions may occur.
