About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Construction Superintendent to lead our construction projects from planning to implementation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction, including managing personnel, budgets, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction projects from planning to implementation, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of onsite personnel and subcontractors, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure seamless communication and project progress.
  • Negotiate with contractors to secure reasonable order costs and maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Prepare and submit internal and external reports on job status, including budget and timeline updates.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the project stays on track and meets quality and safety standards.
  • Manage the budget and estimate costs, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local construction regulations are met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
  • Familiarity with construction management software.
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills.
  • Ability to plan and see the 'big picture.'
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for quality workmanship.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
