Job Title: Respiratory Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Specialist to join our team at GlaxoSmithKline. As a Respiratory Specialist, you will be responsible for providing scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide scientific knowledge and business acumen to specialist customers to support the sale of GSK biologic products.
  • Understand the reimbursement and distribution landscape for specialist customers and identify resources to refer customers to for reimbursement and distribution choices.
  • Maintain knowledge and data on severe asthma therapeutic expertise.
  • Provide product educational programs and in-services to customers.
  • Work within compliance guidelines and GSK values.
  • Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
  • Develop and implement strategies specific to each customer within an account.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers, Medical, and other functions within GSK.
  • Effectively manage allocated resources.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer requests, inquiries, and needs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may include overnight travel up to 30%.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be able and willing to drive or operate a vehicle.
  • 7+ years of pharmaceutical sales/medical device sales experience for the Specialty Account Specialist role, or 15+ years of experience for the Senior Specialty Account Specialist role.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Specialty products that utilize the Buy & Bill or Specialty pharmacy modes of distribution.
  • Expertise in working with Payer Reimbursement Managers.
  • Biologic/Rare Disease/Respiratory Sales experience.
  • Cross-functional matrix collaboration.
  • Has demonstrated consistent performance over time.
