Job Summary
The Respiratory Care Practitioner is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and education to patients and families. This role requires a strong foundation in respiratory care, with a focus on pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatric acute care and be certified as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
Key Responsibilities
- Provides safe and effective respiratory care to pediatric patients, including administering medications and performing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Participates in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and new technologies in respiratory care.
- Contributes to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting open communication and teamwork.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited School for Respiratory Care or equivalent.
- Current CA RCP license required.
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification required for all new hires after January 1, 2014.
- BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
