Biopharma Specialist

Join GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) as a Biopharma Specialist and play a crucial role in our mission to unite science, technology, and talent to get ahead of disease together. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide scientific knowledge and business acumen to specialist customers to support the sale of GSK biologic products.
- Understand the reimbursement and distribution landscape for specialist customers and identify the appropriate resources to refer customers to for reimbursement and distribution choices.
- Maintain knowledge and data on severe asthma therapeutic expertise.
- Provide product educational programs and in-services to customers.
- Work within compliance guidelines and GSK values at all times.
- Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
- Develop and implement strategies specific to each customer within an account.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers, Medical, and other functions within GSK.
- Effectively manage allocated resources.
- Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer requests, inquiries, and needs.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may include overnight travel up to 30%.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be able and willing to drive or operate a vehicle, as driving is an essential function of this role.
- 7+ years of pharmaceutical sales/medical device sales experience for the Specialty Account Specialist role, or 15+ years of experience for the Senior Specialty Account Specialist role.
- Specialty products that utilize the Buy & Bill or Specialty pharmacy modes of distribution.
- Expertise in working with Payer Reimbursement Managers.
- Biologic/Rare Disease/Respiratory Sales experience.
- Cross-functional matrix collaboration.
- Has demonstrated consistent performance over time.
