Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Specialist to join our team at WMATA. This position will be responsible for performing complex vehicle maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, repair, and installation of automotive and diesel engines, transmissions, electrical components, and vehicle body repairs for WMATA's fleet.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Conducting technical diagnostics to identify and diagnose complex mechanical issues.
  • Repairing and replacing damaged or worn-out parts and components.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and vehicle inspections.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (mechanical engineering, automotive technology, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and clean driving record.
