Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Monumental Sports & Entertainment. This role will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of mechanical equipment throughout our facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that work performed is accomplished efficiently with a minimal amount of disruption and inconvenience.
  • Schedule preventative maintenance with a minimum disruption of building services, perform preventative maintenance tasks, order parts and equipment required for repair, maintenance, and installation of new equipment and facilities, and maintain inventory.
  • Demonstrate the proper use and care of tools and instruments, safety, and troubleshooting procedures, attend relevant outside engineering courses for enrollment, and instill an overall level of professionalism in manner and appearance.
  • Follow departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace. Ensure the availability of an adequate operating inventory of tools and supplies.
  • Prepare and submit purchase order requests, develop sources for stock materials, and perform periodic checks for supplies.
  • Perform the maintenance and operation of mechanical (chillers, cooling tower, and CRAC units), electrical, and power generation equipment and systems to support the environment.
  • Quickly learn building control and electrical systems using on the job training, operations manuals, and documentation.
  • Perform predictive, planned, preventative, and routine maintenance as well as equipment rounds and service requests as directed. Perform maintenance in accordance with the JLL Preventative Maintenance Program. Assist with the development and improvement of preventative maintenance programs, schedules, work instructions, SOPs, and operational procedures.
  • Inspect and repair pumps, fans, valves, and motors ensuring proper operation of the client equipment and systems.
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with established work standards and practices.
  • Perform visual and operational inspection of associated equipment and interpret specifications, blueprints, and job standards to perform assigned duties.
  • Assist with analyzing and resolving work problems and achieving work goals.
  • Work with a wide-ranging and changing scope of responsibilities while adhering to the constraints of procedures put in place to minimize the risk for human error.
  • Control the daily operation of all mechanical equipment in the physical plant and buildings.
  • Rotate as on-call engineer.
  • Actively participate in emergency response procedures, technical, and safety training programs.
  • Identify safety hazards within the building and incorporate the remediation of such hazards to ensure that the building's staff and occupants work in a safe environment.
  • Ensure that compliance of all regulatory laws and guidelines are met as they relate to the operation of the building's infrastructure.
  • Responsible for alerting management of building discrepancies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • Experience with HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, welding, chillers, boilers, and electrical systems engineering and operation.
  • Completion of an applicable technical training program is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of seven years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.
  • Must have ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, use ladders up to 30 ft, work at heights of 110 ft. Possess mechanical and electrical competence.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Great teammate with the desire to cultivate partnership to help create a positive working environment.
  • Self-motivated, can work independently or on a team.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, CMMS systems, internet usage, and navigation.
  • Flexibility to work overnight shift form 11:00 pm to 7:30am, weekends, and holidays.
  • This position is considered an essential personnel position, candidate must have the ability to report to work during inclement weather.
  • 7+ years facility related work experience, including customer service and leadership experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of maintenance processes.
  • Experienced with Johnson Control Metasys BMS System.
  • Exposure to HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, and electrical systems operation, boilers, chillers, water source heat pumps, cooling towers, and split systems.
  • Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC's.
  • DC 3Rd Class Steam Engineers License preferred.
  • LEED Certification preferred.
