About Our TeamOur Professional Design team is engaged in projects throughout the southeast, the nation, and the world, serving a diverse client base that includes transportation, oil and gas, renewables, government, Department of Defense, private development, and water resources and restoration. As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will be an integral part of our growing team, working closely with experienced engineers and professionals to deliver high-quality projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative.
- Perform assigned tasks in accordance with company quality control procedures.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment, demonstrating a positive attitude, ability to multi-task, and self-motivation to produce high-quality work.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of design software, including Revit and AutoCAD.
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in fire protection engineering, including internships and professional experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet applications.
- Revit/AutoCAD/BIM preferred.
The physical demands of this position require the ability to use a computer, work at a desk, and perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, and walking. The individual must be able to talk and hear, reach with hands and arms, lift up to 10 pounds, and have close and color vision.
Travel RequirementsThis position may require occasional travel to domestic locations, and the individual must maintain a current, valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
