Job Summary

The Veterinary Receptionist is the first point of contact for clients and plays a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for pet owners. This role requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding to their inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage the front desk, including scheduling appointments, handling payments, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support the veterinary team by preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and assisting with medical procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with information and resources to help them care for their pets.
  • Stay up-to-date on veterinary terminology, procedures, and best practices to provide accurate and informed support to clients and the veterinary team.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a veterinary or customer service role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other staff members.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of veterinary software and systems.
