POSITION SUMMARY: The Inventory Control Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service by managing inventory transactions, including receiving and issuing items.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Exhibit and promote core behaviors while coaching team members.
- Foster a culture of safety within the workplace.
- Process customer orders efficiently and accurately.
- Restock vending machines and maintain cell cabinets.
- Address and resolve transaction discrepancies.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and maintain accurate records.
- Handle product returns from customers.
- Participate in safety and production meetings.
- Adhere to all contractual obligations in performing duties.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic product knowledge is preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations, including familiarity with Excel.
- Strong punctuality and a sense of urgency are essential.
- Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
SUPERVISORY ROLE:
- This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A high school diploma is mandatory.
- Prior experience is not required; however, 1-3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS:
- No specific certifications are required for this role.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work conditions may involve exposure to various elements, including noise and physical demands such as lifting heavy items.
- Regular communication in English is necessary, along with the ability to stand, walk, and use hands for tasks.
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds is expected, with specific vision requirements for close work.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
- Required PPE includes eye protection, ear protection, and any additional gear mandated by the customer, such as steel-toed footwear and headgear.
