We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing instrumentation testing protocols and procedures, preventive maintenance programs, and resource libraries for electricians.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial electrical standards, practices, instrumentation, and NEC code requirements, as well as experience in chemical or other manufacturing/processing industries.

The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement instrumentation testing protocols and procedures
  2. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and procedures
  3. Develop and maintain resource libraries for electricians
  4. Ensure instrumentation operation complies with quality parameters
  5. Assist with identifying and scheduling routine/planned maintenance
  6. Assist with troubleshooting and technical issues or concerns
  7. Evaluate existing instrumentation and processes to improve system efficiency and reliability
  8. Conduct root cause analysis
  9. Assist with training production staff as needed
  10. Work with Operations and Engineering to design and develop new control processes
  11. Provide as needed controls support to Operations and Engineering
  12. Assist with installation of new control processes
  13. May involve procurement and budgetary responsibility
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical standards, practices, instrumentation, and NEC code requirements
  • Experience in chemical or other manufacturing/processing industries
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
