About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team at Northwest Asthma and Allergy Center. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing and presenting periodic financial statements and reports, and overseeing payroll and accounts payable processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and present periodic financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and fixed asset reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Oversee payroll processing, including preparing and submitting payroll reports, and ensuring compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
  • Process and review returns for excise, payroll, and personal property taxes.
  • Work with departmental managers to create annual capital and operational budgets.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and provide insights to management.
  • Ensure compliance with standards for Income-Tax based accounting.
  • Assist with accounting and financial audits as required.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
  • Provide financial training and support to department leadership and physicians as needed.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with outside accounting firms, banks, and contracted financial institutions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and payroll management.
  • Prior work experience in healthcare preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
  • Strong knowledge of Income-Tax Based Accounting, payroll laws, and tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
