Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team at Northwest Asthma and Allergy Center. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing and presenting periodic financial statements and reports, and overseeing payroll and accounts payable processing.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and present periodic financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and fixed asset reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee payroll processing, including preparing and submitting payroll reports, and ensuring compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
- Process and review returns for excise, payroll, and personal property taxes.
- Work with departmental managers to create annual capital and operational budgets.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and provide insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with standards for Income-Tax based accounting.
- Assist with accounting and financial audits as required.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.
- Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
- Provide financial training and support to department leadership and physicians as needed.
- Maintain positive working relationships with outside accounting firms, banks, and contracted financial institutions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and payroll management.
- Prior work experience in healthcare preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
- Strong knowledge of Income-Tax Based Accounting, payroll laws, and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
